Timaru at Addington - Friday.

In respect of stable runners, the action kicks off at the Timaru meeting at Addington on Friday. There are 4 runners engaged on the night. John assesses their chances:

Caesar's Flame - goes around in Race 1."He rushed home late for a close up 3rd at Ranigora. He proved that he is clearly best saved for the one run. He is off the unruly and back in the draw now. He would have to be a chance again".

Crackheiny - Race 7 is fresh up, having his 1st race since Show Day. "He has had the one trial in which he performed very well. He is very well and ready to go. The draw makes things more difficult, but we are expecting a big run".

"Jason drives Cullen's Spirit in the boys' race. The horse is having his first start from the stand and that is something of a worry. If he brings his best form and based on the ability he possesses he must be a chancein an even line-up."

Rome's Burning  - Race 9, "really let us down last time. He is back to a more suitable 2600m this time, but against a good field will require some luck".

John has a further 7 drives for the night, the best of which would appear to be Skippy Rascal in Race 3 and Sundown In Paradise, Race 2, an impressive Rangiora triallist on Monday.
