Crackaheiny does job in style first up

After an absence of nearly 5 months from the racetrack, Crackaheiny has returned to the track in style, beating a 1 win field laden with talent, after doing a power of work in the running.  After a pedestrian pace was set by the frontrunners, John made the call to launch 3 wide from the 1200m. He made the breeze from the 800m and was able to "out-tough" two smart horses in Better Rock On and Macho Commacho in a driving finish, coming home in 57.4 and 27.2.

The 3yr old Elsu gelding had shown in a Chertsey trial win 11 days ago that he was well forward for tonight's run. While the draw was never going to make things easy, John took luck out of tonight's race, driving the horse like it was the best horse and got the desired the result. Hopefully this is the precursor of bigger things ahead for connections!
