Lovemetwotimes set for bold debut

After a strong run at Monday's Rangiora trials, 3yr old Washington VC gelding Lovemetwotimes looks set for a bold debut at tonight's Addington meeting. Owned by Reg Storer, this horse has long been marked as one to watch out for. The winner of 3 of his 4 trials is drawn handily on debut tonight. "There are a few nice ones in there and he still has a bit to learn, but he should be a strong chance," said Johnny when quizzed on the horses chances. Whatever this horse does tonight he will be better for the experience, but he is one of a number of bright chances for the stable this weekend.

Lovemetwotimes impressive trial on Monday at Rangiora

Race 3 of the night sees two great prospects in Cullens Spirit and Massimo. These two horses continue to go round and prove competitive in whatever fields they line up in. It is a huge step back in company for the two after running up against a couple of very smart types last time in Locharburn and Arden Rooney. Cullens Spirit was seen to be running home with real purpose out wide for 4th, while Massimo was looking for gaps in tight quarters down the straight. This appears a massive drop back in class for the two, who look thrown in this time. Take your pick, but I'm plumping for Cullens Spirit to get the job done, narrowly over the stablemate.

The 4th and final runner for the night is Better Than Money in Race 8. While he has drawn wide on this occasion, the field lacks any real depth. If he can replicate his last start winning performance at Oamaru, beating subsequent Motukarara winner in Classiebee, then he will have a great chance of going back to back with victories. He was another to trial impressively at Rangiora on Monday. Tim Williams takes the drive this evening.
