A quieter night at "The Met"

Tonight's Addington meeting will be one of the quieter meets for a while for the stable with just the 3 runners engaged.

Donegal's Guest - Race 9 - contests a very competitive C2-C4 boys' race. In 6 starts for the stable he has done a very good job to date. Tonight to be driven by Jason Thomas, he has come up with a 2nd line draw. In discussing this with John, he felt that, "this may not work out too bad. With the one's drawn on the frontline, the pace is sure to be hot throughout. Jase can just sit back and hopefully come over the top of them when they start to get tired. He's definitely a god place hope."

Race 10 - Surfin Swift and Batini - John felt that it was wise to put a line through Surfin Swift's Timaru run. "Things went against her right from the start. Added to that they went a track record by by some margin. She's had some issues for sure, but this field is a step down on what she has beaten in the past. She's no certainty, but worth an eachway bet all the same."

Batini is a new addition to the stable. "She's come to us from Kev Chapman's stable. Kev's away up north with his team so has flicked her over to us to look after. She's been going pretty good races overall and went alright for 4th behind Crackaheiny the other day at Timaru. Her draw doesn't look the best, but the pace could well be on, so 3 back the fence may not be the worst place to be."
