The top five from the weekend

5. The qualifying runs by 4 of the new brigade at Saturday's Rangiora trials. Those to qualify - Stunin Dude 2600m std 3.29.9, Miss Daisy 2000m mobile 2.30.3, Robbie Burns and Highview Freddy 2000m mobile 2.34.3.

Robbie Burns leads stablemate Highview Freddy a lap out in their qualifying trial won in 2.34.3

4. The debut run of No Doctor Needed at Wyndham. Bred and owned by the Plants' this fella is a real novice to the racetrack. His first up debut win at Wyndham on Saturday - 2400m 2.58.8, 800m 57.1 and 400m 27.1, was done on his ear. When he learns what racing is all about he could be scary. Still, being by Mach Three out of the top mare Molly Darling, he does have a bit going for him!

3. The trial run of 2yr old filly Tintinara at Rangiora. She led from start to finish in her trial recording a time of 2.29.4 for the 2000m mobile, home in 800m 55.9 and 400m 27.5 and jogged it. She looks a ready made favourite on debut for the Group 3 Leonard Memorial at Addington this Sunday. She is a very exciting filly.

Tintinara dominated a 2yr old filly trial over the 2000m mob. She runs in the Grp 3 Leonard Memorial this Sunday.

2. The run of Say My Name in the Kindergarten at Wyndham. Wow! Just wait until this guy gets any sort of run in these big 2yr old races. After being parked for the most part, he was still able to dig deep in a 1.54.3 mile, home in 800m 56.8 and 400m 27.1.  He's got it all this colt and looks sure to feature in all the big goes this season.

Say My Name a debut winner at Addington late last month and huge in the Kindergarten Saturday

1. The run of stable stars Franco Nelson 2nd and Elios 3rd in the Brian Hancock Saturday night at Menangle. 1.50.2 now thats tramping! Both were obliged to do a fair bit of work, particularly Franco Nelson who came from well of the pace. Just as they looked to have a stable quinella secured boom, Seel N Print! Connections are stoked with the run and look forward with huge confidence to the Chariots Of Fire this Sunday. Dex to drive Elios and John, Franco Nelson. Good luck to all the connections and heres hoping for a Group One success.
