All Royal Gal steps up bigtime

After a luckless run for 3rd on the course just 3 nights before, All Royal Gal was well supported as 4th favouite in a C1 mobile trot today. In a field dominated on the tote by 4yr old Saratoga, All Royal Gal and driver Gavin Smith did the job in style on the track. Awkwardly positioned 3 back on the inner at the 500m, Gavin seized the initiative, pushing off into a 1-1 challeging spot. Once they turned their heads for home, it was quickly apparent that the 3yr old daughter of Monarchy and Roydon Action would hold too many guns. She stormed to the lead 150m out and while helped by Saratoga (2nd) and Trouble Rieu (3rd) locking wheels, she clearly was the best horse in the race today.

Owned by Alan and Ian Neumann, this was the filly's 2nd win from just 10 starts. Based on the authority of today's run, she may soon be mixing it with the best of her age in some of the upcoming feature age group trots.
