Say My Name books place in Sires Stakes final

After a brilliant win on debut, 2yr old Art Major colt Say My Name was bereft of any real luck in his next two starts against the best at group level. Last night back at Addington, he showed his real class, overcoming a 2nd line draw, to beat a class field of 2yr olds and book himself a place in the Sires Stakes final. Owned by the Gordons, this colt has a big reputation in the stable. He was driven positively by Johnny going forward to breeze a lap out before being given a tow home by stablemate Highview Freddy. On turning for home, he was hooked wide by John for his run and overcame a very game Mighty Flyying Major (trailled) late in the piece, to win by a head. He now looks well on track for the various age group features over the next 3 months.
