Going into tonight's Addington meeting, the task is simple for the Robert Dunn stable - 3 wins to get to a never achieved before 100 wins for the season. A win by promising 2yr old Johnny Jet at Forbury last night has certainly helped, and with 14 starters engaged over the rest of the weekend, further wins look almost assured.
The Best Chances
Tonight's Addington meeting has a number of promising hopes, but the best may be Florin, in a race restricted to the mares. She faces stern competition from two other stable runners in Vedika and Westburn Warrior, but does look a great chance. Early in the evening, Artismee is in a match-race with Zakspatrol in a heat of the Breeders Crown, so a huge hope!
On Sunday at Ashburton, 2yr old debutante Cullens First Meddle is a huge hope if she is able to frank some promising trial form in Race 2. Later in the day, in Race 8, Donegal Jimmy Dave and Wesley Silcox look an imposing combination.
Well done Dex!
A big pat on the back to Dexter once again, who has achieved the imposing total of 200 wins in a season for the third time. A win with Whosideawazthis for the Kerrs', in the last of the night was a great way to wrap up his season's driving on the Forbury Park track. After earlier wins for good mate Steve Lock - Snow Boy and Blazing Bracelet, the 200th win looked a formality. However, after enjoying a good trail in the last, things looked dire at the 100m as he attempted to clear traffic. Finally clear at the 50m, the 3yr old American Ideal colt charged home the last bit to win by a narrow margin, his 5th victory from 5 starts on the track.
