Lumos regains that winning touch

The pride and joy of the Westview Racing No. 6 syndicate in Lumos, returned to the winners circle in devastating fashion on a particualarly cold Addington Raceway on Friday night. Backed in with real enthusiasm on the tote by the punters, things worked out perfectly for "Jake" Lumos. After securing a perfect 1-1 sit on a real hot pace, it was evident well before the turn that Lumos was the horse to be on. Pulled out by John on the turn, he powered to the lead at the 200m before going on and scoring by an ever-increasing 2.5 lengths. This was his 6th win from 34 starts and he has now bankrolled $47,424 for connections. With a further 13 placings, he has been a remarkably consistent performer. Reflecting on the win, John remarked quite honestly, "he just jogged it mate. He's really lifted to a new level of late."

While plans are uncertain are this stage, the one thing that is evident is that Lumos is back and will be looking to add to his winning tally as the spring racing programme kicks in.
