John looking to carry on a great start to the season

Number one driver for the Robert Dunn stable, John Dunn has made a great start to the 2015-2016 harness season. As the end of the first month of the season approaches, John has reined home 14 winners for the season from just the 45 drives. He holds a 6 win lead over the chasing bunch led by Blair Orange on 8 wins.

In the first 4 weeks of the season, John has shown a willingness to travel which has seen him driving at Alexandra Park in the north down to Gore in the south.

"The more that I have been able to get about it has led on to gaining further drives," reflected John.

He has had strong books, aided in the south by the absence of brother Dexter who has been away on a well earned vacation over the past month. John has tasted success with runners from the Tony Stratford stable down south and with the Paul and Mitch Kerr stable closer to home. Last Friday at Addington he also reined home a 45-1 outsider Iron Man as part of a hatrick of wins for the night.

After an unsuccessful visit to Forbury Park last night, John is again Auckland bound tonight  as part of the South Island team in the Island Of Origin series.

The best of John's book tonight include:

Race 3 - Thanks Shane - An in form runner and fresh-up. Usually does it all right so must be a winning hope.

Race 10 - Very Persuasive - Unlucky last time out and in good form. Eachway
