John looking to add to premiership lead

Presently the leading driver in the country for the current season, John looks to have a good book of drives again at tonight's Alexandra Park meeting.

His first drive is Culinary Delight in Race 2. She had no luck last week, being forced very wide to make her run. However, if she can get a more economical run tonight from her awakward second line darw, she is not the worst eachway hope.

John combines again with the very talented Commander Paris in Race 3. He turned on a flawless performance last time and if he can repeat he looks a big winning chance again.

Return To Sender in the 4th has been racing well enough, but with no luck. He is drawn poorly again, restricting John's options, but if they go hard all the way, he can come over the top of them.

John doesn't have a drive in Race 5, but Jack MacKinnon drives stable runner All Royal Gal. She continues to race well and is a great eachway hope in this one.

In Race 6, John drives Joey Maguire, who will be driven positively from a good barrier. "He is going well,"  said John, "but it is a good field". He is an eachway hope at odds here.

John's last drive and possibly his best for the night is Princess MacKendon in Race 8. She looked the winner until the very last stride last week and a repeat of that should be enough to get her home here.
