Craig big chance to get first win of his career

Stable employee and junior driver Craig Smith has been given a great chance by his boss to break through for a maiden driving success at Addington tomorrow evening. Craig will combine with stable runner Little Rascal which was the most unlucky of 4ths on the track a fortnight ago.

Smith has followed the usual path of workout and trial driving before starting his driving career at the start of the current season. He has had limited opportunities to date with just the nine drives. However, it appears the hard working Smith has been rewarded for his contributions with what appears one of the best chances for the stable on the night.

Little Rascal had a great debut season with four wins and seven placings from just 20 starts. He completed his season with a run in Have Faith In Me's jewels back in May. He resumed on the track three weeks ago making an absolute hash of the stand start on that occasion. Second up a fortnight ago he copped a bad draw but was a tragedy beaten over the 1950m, the same distance as tomorrow night's contest.

We wish Craig all the best with tomorrow night's drive and for the remainder of this season. To check out Little Rascal's unlucky 4th have a look at this video:
