Premiership dream could still become reality

While the number of meetings is fast running out, the number of potential stable runners is still high, as is the level of enthusiasm as Team Dunn approach another pivotal week in their quest for the premiership.

With another week of action kicking off last night, the stable again had a healthy representation down at Forbury Park and enjoyed success, this time with a debutante, the appropriately named Dream To Reality. Owned by Stu and Liz Leadley, Dream To Reality had trialled up well before last night's debut and was expected to deliver by reinsman John Dunn.

Given his time early, the Bettor's Delight 2yr old was obliged to race outside the pacemaking Cooky throughout. John was content to sit in the breeze and his runner relaxed beautifully before beginning to apply the pressure from the 500m. He levelled up to the pacemaker before the home turn and while given a fight over the last 200m, proved too good for the trailling horse Flying Sue by a neck with a further half neck back to Cooky.

Dream To Reality is the 8th foal out of Pocketfullofdreams (In The Pocket - Jayvee) and is a half brother to Racketeer's Girl that raced well in Australia - 54 starts, 8 wins, 7 seconds, 7 thirds, $111,503. He is certain to be seen to further good effect before the season's completion.

Drean To Reality makes a successful debut at Forbury Park last night

The win of Dream To Reality narrows the premiership gap to eight, however, that margin is very likely to increase again at Addington tonight according to John.

"I think that it is very likely that Mark and Natalie will get another three wins tonight. Custodian has a walkover win in the Breeders Crown Heat and G I Joe and the new two year old (Star's Align - Race Three) should be winning too."

"In many respects that does make this week quite a tough one for us. While we have chances, unlike last week, I wouldn't say that there are any certainties, but we will be trying thats for real."

Junior Race Four and Freedom Fighter Race Eight do look the best prospects for the evening. Check out their chances and all the other runners for the night on our Stable Tips page.
