Henry Hubert and Borntobeastar contest three year old features

The focus this evening is very much on Addington now with a lung infection in the stable seeing the scratching of all runners at Alexandra Park. With the preludes to big features over the next couple of weeks, there is a nice team in with some good chances. Henry Hubert (in photo) continues his progress towards the derby while filly Borntobeastar contests the Trotting Oaks for the fillies. Alta Orlando meets some stiff opposition in his race, his final hitout before the Easter Cup.

From a stable point of view the action kicks off in Race Three with the two fillies Feel The Money and Kensington Kate engaged. Last week both were involved in the Nevele R fillies heat won by Elle Mac, but fall back into a more competitive race this week from frontline draws. Best served in this regard is certainly Feel The Money which should definitely appreciate drawing closer in. She has had little go right the last couple of races, but if she was able to replicate her run behind Bettor Joy and Elle Mac three starts ago then she would be a great eachway chance. Kensington Kate ran on from a hopeless position last time, but again cops a difficult draw here. She will no doubt look to slot in if she can, but place chances look her best chance on this occasion.

Borntobeastar gets a great draw to work with in the Trotting Oaks, but it is an attitude adjustment that will be the key for her. She has shown that she has a motor to match many of these, but at this stage, it is the consistency of performance that is letting her down. If the best Borntobeastar turned up this evening then she would definitely be an outside place hope.

Billy Badger produced a good first up run here last week, but cops an awful draw in Race Five over the 1950m. Look for him to be running on, but he will need a lot of luck in the running.

Bonnie's Highlander and Sundees Son both represent great chances in Race Six. Early manners will be the key for both, but if they can negotiate their way through the early stages successfully, then they are a good chance of running the quinella.

Henry Hubert only succumbed late in the piece last week to Anthem after having done work in the running. He will again have to do work this evening as he draws the outside in the seven horse field. Providing the pace is hot, which is likely, he wil still be a strong place hope.

Alta Orlando only got pipped late last week and should have improved a lot with his run. He meets a strong line-up over the 1950m and from his unruly position will need a lot of luck. Place hopes are best for him.

The final two runners for the evening are Born To Run and Tuapeka Trick in Race Ten. Born To Run meets a considerably easier field than last week and gets a nice draw. He is at least a place chance on his best form. Tuapeka Trick is fresh up, but cops a tough alley here. He would be a place hope if things really panned out for him.
