Harness Jewels day beckons

It is that time of year again and Harness Jewels day at Cambridge tomorrow will see nine stable runners go around. Unfortunately most runners are poorly served by the draws and a tough task has become that much tougher again. We take a look at their chances.

Arma Indie starts the day for us in Race One for the two year old fillies. She got it all wrong last time out, but in her previous starts had run some really nice races. While she is not a realistic winning chance, from the draw, she could be one to spice up peoples First Four tickets.

Two year old trotter You Really Got Me cops a real visitors draw in Race Two. He looks a trotter of real promise and has placed in good company the last two. From a horror draw here he is probably relying on others to make mistakes, but can still be a First Four shot.

Bonnie Highlander was a lot better last time out, but again cops a bad draw in Race Five. She will be requiring lots of luck to figure on this ocasion.

Heisenberg will need some luck from a second line draw in Race Six, but if he were to get it, is not the worst of chances. He fought really hard after doing a power of work last time and is not far off the best ones in this company.

Billy Badger is another to draw poorly in this case in Race Seven. He is in career best form, but will need a power of luck and lots of moves in the race if he is to figure. Place best again.

Valloria and Sundees Son go around in Race Eight. Both horses are well drawn, but are down on their best form. They also have the hotpot Winterfell drawn inside them in barrier one. A peak performance from either and they could easily run in the money at nice odds.

The final two runners are Alta Maestro and Henry Hubert in Race Nine. Alta Maestro was back to something like his best last time out. He has high gatespeed and may be able to cross, but there is also a ton of speed inside him. Henry Hubert is another with a horror draw and driver Gav Smith will have no choice but to go back. He is a good stayer and if the pace is as hectic as it seems it may be, will be running on better than most.
