The first Rangiora meet of the new season offers up some good chances
Today is the first Rangiora meeting for the 2018-2019 season and there are the five stable runners to go around. Each of these are at least eachway hopes on what appears to be an even card.
The day kicks off for us in Race Two, with both Jack Pack and Johnny White to go around. Both horses are drawn very well in a race with no clear standout chance. Jack Pack should appreciate the mobile here. After an impressive win, he has blown the start in his last two stand start affairs. Johnny White has been thereabouts since a win at Nelson and his best form has him right in this.
Race Three is another very even affair and we have an in-form Wrangler that looks one of the best chances. Wrangler had no luck last time having to face the breeze in a strong Addington field, but had been very good before that. Any luck in the running and he is a winning hope.
Borntobeastar has been conistent since clearing maiden ranks and looks one of a host of chances in Race Six. She ran on well late after getting held up last time.
De Lancome (in photo), may be the best chance of the day in Race Seven. She is drawn to do no work and if luck is on her side does look to have an edge on most of these.
