In form mare chases four in a row
Four year old Bettor's Delight mare De Lancome is in career best form and on Friday at Addington looks to extend an impressive formline to four straight wins.
The first foal to race out of the impressive racemare Lancome, De Lancome had always had a private reputation in the stable. However, it has only really been in the last three starts, all over the 1980m that she has started to realise that potential.
Last week, De Lancome was able to settle in a three back position on the outer and only really had to make one run at them late, easily getting over top of a handy R53-58 field.
On Friday night while reverting to the 2600m trip, she is well drawn and should get a soft trip for driver Gerard O'Reilly. While this is a big step up in company in may respects, you wouldn't dismiss her chance of adding to the picket fence formline.
One of the toughest for De Lancome to beat will be the stablemate Hayden's Meddle. He is super consistent and was a strong last start winner himself on the track. He will appreciate the 2600m and will appreciate a strong tempo.
The only other runner for the evening is Johnny White in the last. He has raced consistently well this campaign and does look one of the strongest chances in quite an open field. Tim Williams will drive him and he wil have options from a handy draw and in a smallish field.
On Sunday, Huey Lewis on debut in Race Seven. He trialled up well on the track last week and is definitely an eachway chance first up.
The final runner for the day is Jack Pack in Race Eight. He is drawn to get a soft run and could run into the placings at some nice odds.
