100 win mark looms for both Robert and John

It has been another great season for Robert and John. With a month and a half left in the current season, both are in second place in their respective premierships and sit on 98 wins for the season. They are surely only two or three meetings away from cracking the 100 wins. With three runners in this evening at Addington there is a good chance to give that mark a nudge this evening.

Perhaps the best chance tonight is Feel The Money (in picture) in Race Five. She is in career best form and takes on a nice field of mares in the Uncut Gems Mares Classic. A listed race worth $40,000, this is a particularly even line-up. While she has drawn poorly, the draw will be slightly offset by the 2600m trip. There are certain to be plenty of moves in the race and if John can jump onto the three wide train at the right time, and get a drag into it, she won't be far away. Feel The Money has speed and toughness and it would cap a nice season for her should she deliver. Once again she should have plenty of support from her Westview Racing syndicate of owners.

Classie Brigade has proven himself in the past and it was great to see him return to form with a win last time out at Ashburton. He steps out in the Uncut Gems Classic for the Entires and Geldings, another listed race, in Race Seven. In what is sure to be a strongly run affair, with boom southerner U May Cullect engaged, it is a race that may turn into a battle of survival. The great stayer that he is, Classie Brigade could be the beneficiary of this and could turn out the forgotten horse in the race. He must be an eachway prospect.

The final stable runner tonight is Valloria in Race Nine. He is another that has had a good season. At his last start in the Harness Jewels, he was found wanting after enjoying a good trip in the trail. However, tonight is a massive dropback in company. If anywhere near his best, he shouldn't be far away.

John has another three drives for the night:

Race Two - Givemewhatineed - In god form and won't be far away.

Race Three - Whatasista - Handy trotter. Can get a slice of this.

Race Eight - Belmont Major - Really good run first up. The one to beat.
