The action returns to Addington
After five weeks away from Addington the action returns to headquarters this evening. We have the four runners that will go around and all appear genuine chances.
One Majic Kenny kicks off our night in Race Two. He never really got into it on either day at Nelson, with slow beginnings proving costly. On both occasions however, he was seen to be making good ground late in the piece.
Tonight One Majic Kenny should enjoy getting back behind the mobile gate, albeit from off the unruly. A safe beginning should see him close enough if good enough at some stage of the trip and make him the main danger to the likely hotpot in Tailored Elegance.
Soundslikeart has done a superb job since crossing the ditch from Australia and looks well placed in Race Three. A first day winner at Nelson, she then powered home for a good third over the mile on the second day. With some good speed inside her this evening, she should find a prominent position in the running early and if she can, her high speed should carry her a long way.
Spot On is our next runner, going around in Race Six. He was a game second at his last start at Timaru, behind a good one in Pressed For Time. From a handy enough draw this evening, he should lob a good spot in the running and is another eachway hope for us.
The final runner for the night is the very much in-form Pres Da Belle (in photo) in Race Seven. A stunning six length winner at her last start, Pres Da Belle comes into tonight's race after a brief freshen up. While drawn wide over the 1980m tonight, she does have high gatespeed if John chooses to light her up early. She looks to be the main danger to the favourite Kings Landing.
