Some good chances throughout the night at Addington

Some good chances throughout the night at Addington

We are into day two of the latter part of the 2019-2020 season and the action is again at Addington, but this time under lights. Diamond Racing are well represented through the 12 race card.

The action begins for us with Wyatt Waller in Race Three. A Bettor's Delight three year old, Wyatt Waller ran a top race for second on debut, all the way back in September. He has always been regarded as a very nice horse by John and from the ace draw this evening looks set to get the perfect trip. If he can run up to anyway near his debut performance, he will be very hard to contain.

Two races later and it is the turn of Styx Kiwi, a last start winner on the grass at Reefton. Her trial run on the track last week, suggested that she is forward for tonight's resumption, but the wide draw and a handy line-up would suggest that place hopes are probably best this evening.

Franco Niven (in picture) and Kensington Bill are the two stable representatives in Race Seven and both appear good chances. While he is drawn the wider of the two over the 1980m, this does look a dropback of sorts for Franco Niven and it is no suprise that he has been installed a short-priced favourite by the TAB. Kensington Bill to be driven by Tim Williams has shown plenty of ability though and may be the toughest to beat.

Rocknroll King has won two of his last four starts, but takes on some smart company in the night's feature, Race Nine. While not as experienced as some here, he is definitely a horse on the up and from a good draw must be accorded at least a place hope.

Our two very consistent mares Soundslikeart and Anamajor will go around in Race Ten. Both mares have proved consistent in similar company before the break and if they get that critical piece of luck this evening are both eachway hopes at good odds.

The very consistent The Player will take on what is a nice field of trotters in Race Eleven. He is generally very well mannered and from the frontline has the ability to put himself into a nice spot early. From there he should definitely get his chance. However, with the likes of Cracker Hill and Lotamuscle in this field, it is clearly a nice field. Depending on the race tempo, The Player can be a definite winning chance here.

Three year old Carlos Bromac completes the night for Diamond Racing going around in Race Twelve. A fast-closing 4th two starts back, Carlos Bromac has shown plenty of potential in his short race career. Providing he can overcome a widish draw this evening, he must clearly be one of the hardest to beat.

With again a crowdless Addington Raceway this evening, sit back and enjoy the big 12 race programme in the warm! Good punting.
