Got You Covered well placed for maiden win

Three year old Art Major gelding Got You Covered has been one of the more consistent performers from the stable through the late winter period. He looks well placed to deliver his maiden win in the first race at Addington this evening.

A debutante in the autumn, Got You Covered produced a second placing from his three starts, before the lockdown period kicked in. Since coming back to racing in July, he has done a fine job with three placings from his five starts back in some handy fields. While he has enjoyed no favours in terms of the draw tonight, the small field should help balance things out. With John in good driving form over the last couple of weeks, he will be sure to have Got You Covered in the right spot as the field turn in.

Toughest to beat this evening from their better draws, will be the ultra consistent Deja Blue and another promising three year old in Black Edition.

We have the two runners that will go around in Race Three, with Pretty Majestic and Woodstone. The Yabby Dam Farms owned Pretty Majestic was in sublime form earlier in the year, dominant against many of the North Island's best trotters. She has had the three workouts to prepare her for this evening's resumption. To be driven by Korbyn Newman, she will be making her Addington debut. Whaterver she does tonight she is sure to improve on in the coming weeks.

Woodstone has had one start this time in, a month ago at Alexandra Park. He was a good 3rd on that occasion off a long handicap. John will combine with him this evening. Like Pretty Majestic, he starts off a 20m handicap which will not be easy, particularly with the likely hot favourite Ultimate Stride well placed as just one of three runners off the front. However, Woodstone is proven in this class and it would be no surprise to see him barrelling home late.

Exciting filly Passion And Power is the stable rep in Race Four, the Sires Stakes heat for the fillies. She was superb through through the summer, winning her first three starts and then a close up 4th at her last start. She has had the two workouts to prepare her for tonight and gets a favourable draw to work with. While there are a couple of smart newcomers in the fillies ranks, if she is anywhere near her best, Passion And Power will give them all plenty to think about this evening and looks a great each-way chance.

Down To The Bone and Kensington Bill are the two stable runners in Race Six. This is a really nice field, with a couple of proven runners from the powerful All Stars barn to contend with. Down To The Bone had an excuse last time and is the better drawn of our pair. In his best form he is at least a place hope here. Kensington Bill will need his share of luck from out wide. If the race is run at a genuine clip, look for him to be getting home amongst the placegetters.

The final runner for the night for us is You Really Got Me in Race Seven. A horse that has any amount of ability, he has let himself down at times in the manners department. The key tonight will be trotting the entire trip and if he does that and gets a bit of luck, he won't be far away.
