Dexter back closer to home this weekend

Dexter back closer to home this weekend

After the last two weekends in Kentucky, Dexter is back much closer to home this weekend, driving at the old haunts of Harrah's Philadelphia and the Meadowlands. Well both meetings are generally lower key cards, Dexter does have good books at both.

As far as stakes go, Dexter has some key drives tomorrow at Harrah's Philly. The first of these is a two year old filly Podium Girl trained by Chris Ryder. An in-form filly, she has won four of her nine starts this season for $69,000 in stakes. She is the pre-post second favourite in the John Simpson Memorial worth $31,000.

Three races later and Dexter combines with the Linda Toscano trained High Minded in the second division of the John Simpson Memorial. The winner of just one of her eight starts this year, she has banked $59,000 in stakes. She is pre-post second favourite for the event.

Tomorrow evening's meet at The Meadowlands is a low key event, but does feature the W N Reynolds Memorial trot for the two year old colts and geldings. In a small field of five, he combines with the Ake Svanstedt trained Red Redemption. A five start maiden, he will start as the outsider in the event worth $61,500.

Over the course of the weekend he has good drives at both venues.
