    Bettor’s Delight three year old Carlos Bromac, has been somewhat of a revelation in his two starts to date, with two wins to open his career, both in the deep south. In the first of these a fortnight ago, he drew well, gained the perfect trail on the back of one of his rivals tomorrow in Onesmartfella and proved much to strong in the run to the line.

  • Woodstone looking to get campaign back on track. Smart three year old returns.
    Open class trotter Woodstone looks to get his Dominion Handicap campaign back on track tonight at Addington. After a few injury concerns following a long layoff, he is back and injury free in tonight's Airpark Canterbury Trot, but will have to overcome a tough 40m handicap.

  • Carlos kicks early goal
    The Robert Dunn trained Carlos Bromac capitalised on a perfect sit behind leader Onesmartfella to win the Macca Lodge Mobile Pace at the Invercargill Harness Racing meeting at Ascot Park yesterday.
    “I drew one, got a nice trail all the way so that helped but he did it quite nice,” said driver John Dunn after the win.

  • Sundees Son extends winning run
    Star trotter Sundees Son extended his recent run of wins to five, after another emphatic win at Addington last evening. This time, in the Group Three Anthony Shearer Ordeal Trotting Cup, he was able to bide his time, before coming with his run at the 600m, eventually going away to win by four and a half lengths.

Simon Smith is one of St Bedes finest graduates in recent years and joined the Woodend Beach stable with John in September last year. On his first night of driving he gets the steer behind the Westview owned Flashazz in Race Four.

  • Rugby mates combine for success with miracle horse
    Brothers Alan and Ian Neumann have been involved in the racing game for many years, enjoying success with any number of runners. Come sales time last year and they decided that they wanted to share their interest with some good mates from their rugby playing days. They purchased three yearlings - Heroes Square, He's Aflyin and the first of the three to get to the races last night, Down To The Bone, formerly known as Assassin's Creed.

    For our number one stable driver John Dunn, this season has been as good as it gets in many ways. In terms of seasonal earnings and overall wins he sits second in the premiership behind Blair Orange and tomorrow night at Addington looks set to surpass the 100 win mark for yet another season as well as the $1.5 million mark in seasonal earnings.

    Dexter Dun has only been in North America for under ten months, however, he has quickly showed North Americans his class. Second in the drivers' premiership at the Meadowlands and third at Harrah's Chester, Dexter has already teamed up with a number of America's trainers and has repaid them with some outstanding form. Tonight North American time, this afternoon New Zealand time, he drives in Canada on one of their biggest night's of racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park and lands the drive on Bettors Wish for his boss and mentor Chris Ryder.
