It was J Dunn at his absolute best as he made a decisive move down the back-straight to take the lead and then kicked too well up the straight to hold off the more favoured runners.

Picked out by Ray Hansen at this year's yearling sales and then given the tick of approval by Robert, John and Sam the vet, Flashazz (stable name Bro) is the second foal out of the well performed racemare and Harness Jewels winner Pembrook's Delight.

  • Bite The Bullet digs tough to win Kurow Cup
    Bite The Bullet took another step towards the better classes today at Oamaru, with a tough victory in the Kurow Cup. Able to assume the lead early in the race, he staved off a mid-race challenge from the favourite James Dean and dictated terms thereafter. He had enough in the tank over the last 100m to hold off the fast late finisher in New Years Jay.
