    Following a successful Friday night at Addington where he picked up another couple of wins, John heads south today to Winton. He has two promising three year olds that will step out, in Need You Now - Race Three and Tyron's Bit Of Lemon - Race Four.

  • Excitement levels high with return of Sundees Son
    After finishing the 2017-2018 season as New Zealand's most in-form trotter - Rowe Cup and Harness Jewels victories included - Sundees Son is back and looking to launch his new season campaign. He meets a talented field in his resumption tonight that includes the comeback king Monbet from the Greg and Nina Hope stable.

  • New season and a new face
    The new season kicks off tomorrow night at headquarters and one of Diamond Racings best kept secrets will hit the track with a his debut drive. Simon Smith is one of St Bedes finest graduates in recent years and joined the Woodend Beach stable with John in September last year. On his first night of driving he gets the steer behind the Westview owned Flashazz in Race Four.

  • Rugby mates combine for success with miracle horse
    Brothers Alan and Ian Neumann have been involved in the racing game for many years, enjoying success with any number of runners. Come sales time last year and they decided that they wanted to share their interest with some good mates from their rugby playing days. They purchased three yearlings - Heroes Square, He's Aflyin and the first of the three to get to the races last night, Down To The Bone, formerly known as Assassin's Creed.

  • It looks a wet cold night for Addington
    It is fast drawing towards the end of another very good season of racing. Tonight's Addington meet is the second last for that club for the season and despite the inclement weather features three stable runners.

  • John closing in on another season milestone
    For our number one stable driver John Dunn, this season has been as good as it gets in many ways. In terms of seasonal earnings and overall wins he sits second in the premiership behind Blair Orange and tomorrow night at Addington looks set to surpass the 100 win mark for yet another season as well as the $1.5 million mark in seasonal earnings.

  • A big night ahead for Dexter at Woodbine Mohawk Park
    Dexter Dun has only been in North America for under ten months, however, he has quickly showed North Americans his class. Second in the drivers' premiership at the Meadowlands and third at Harrah's Chester, Dexter has already teamed up with a number of America's trainers and has repaid them with some outstanding form. Tonight North American time, this afternoon New Zealand time, he drives in Canada on one of their biggest night's of racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park and lands the drive on Bettors Wish for his boss and mentor Chris Ryder.

    Westview filly Spellbound will be looking to bounce back to form in tomorrow's two year old Diamond, courtesy of what looks a perfect draw from the inside barrier. She will not be lacking in support with her big entourage of Westview owners, including the Witches of Westview likely to turn up in big numbers.

    Sundees Son is in career best form and comes will start tomorrow's four year old Ruby for the trotters a deserved short-priced favourite. His driver John Dunn is delighted with what he has seen of the horse since returning from Auckland to Woodend Beach.

  • Sundees Son chases Rowe Cup victory
    Only considered a runners chance in last week's ANZAC Cup at Group One level, Sundees Son defied the form pundits, delivering a knockout blow to New Zealand's best square-gaiters. Tonight he returns to Alexandra Park as a form horse and undoubtedly looms as one of the key chances in the Rowe Cup.

  • Rowe Cup win a major milestone for stable
    The former rebel with one of trotting's biggest motors has well and truly grown up. The ANZAC Cup win at Group One level last week was huge, but for Robert and John, trainer and driver, winning the Rowe Cup this evening was a major milestone in their respective careers.

  • Sundees Son just wow in ANZAC Cup win
    The meteoric rise to the top of the trotting ranks went to next level for Sundees Son at Alexandra Park this evening, as he put paid to the best in the business in the Group One ANZAC Cup. For owners Colin and Nancy Hair to finally see their champ put it all together when it counted must have been satisfaction on the highest level.

  • Breeding to the fore in pair of stylish victories
    Kabet - 6 wins and Cullen's Mercy - 5 wins, were nice mares that were trained by Robert. Yesterday at Addington the first progency from each to reach the racetrack, delivered their maiden victory which in the case of Above N Beyond also doubled as a Sires Stakes heat win.
